Lende by mojcaj
Recently named and described by Kruger et al, a burnetiamorph Lende chiweta. An interesting permian basal therapsid from Malawi with a very interesting and original name. Found already in 1992.

The found skull probably belonged to a young animal, therefore I depicted it with slightly bigger head and eyes, and longer limbs.

A sketch with photoshop manipulation.
Cute herpetoskylax by mojcaj
Cute herpetoskylax
I don't draw much which is pity. However after recently publishing article on a new burnetiamorph Lende I couldn't resisted to draw its close relative, Herpetoskylax. I started drawing it on the train on the way home.

And again, I draw it as a cute animal. Maybe I am close to what it really looked like.

I may color this version and more other published here however having the right computer is a problem for me. I simply don't have any suitable accessibility nowhere. More, my daughter has a pan tablet which I can't use on another computer due to some software incompatibility.

That is the reason why I mostly do tacks for model horses.

I have more drawings on the way hopefully I will be able to finish soon.
Tanzanian gorgonopsian portrait by mojcaj
Tanzanian gorgonopsian portrait
It has been a while since I posted an extinct animal. I am mostly focused on synapsids ince there are so many excellent paleoartists imaging dinosaur. Here is my vision of a possible appeance of a Late Permian gorgonopsian based on the photo I found somewhere on the net (here is the image…), from Tanzania. It clearly has massive and thick suborbital arch, and broad-downturned zygomatic arch, which indicates to be a Rubidgeniae genus.  On the image you can clearly see the ear in the lower jaw that functioned together with the refected lamina as a receiver of airborne vibrations.

And I know, I don't draw them lizard (dinosaur) like. More, in Nov. 2015 an article was published: Microbiota and food residues including possible evidence of pre-mammalian hair in Upper Permian coprolites from Russia. Hairy therapsids!

Maybe therapsids were indeed furry!
Haflinger lady Milk by mojcaj
Haflinger lady Milk
This is a beautful needle felted haflinger horse, made by :iconharmatan:. We named her Milk, after a soft silky white mane and tail.

I just added a halter and a flowered sash.

Here I am presenting this stunning needle felted gipsy vanner made by :iconharmatan: with is tack, made by me:

Gypsy Tack by harmatan

This model of a horse is traditional sized. I didn't have this horse in my hands, I made the tack based on the measurements given by :iconharmatan: and tested on a breyer horse.

The tack is made of black leather and decorated with ornaments from red leather. These parts are stitched on. All the buckles are hand made and with tongues, the keepers are made of can. I added three pairs of kidney drops which are typical for gipsy vanner tacks.

Please check harmatan gallery and her beautiful creations. The horses are simply amazing! She is very creative and you can expect more wonderful surprises.

Actually, it is not even needed. I am happy to get an honest comment rather than saying thanks for the favs.
